DAY OF THE DEAD RETREAT

October 29 - November, 2026

This is a one of a kind retreat that combines experiencing the rich culture of a traditional Mexican village during the most colorful and celebratory time of the year,  Dia de Los Muertos.

Authentic and joyful in equal measure, this retreat blends excursions to ancient pyramids and healing waters, sound baths, temazcal ceremonies, and traditional fiestas — with a deeper thread of building an altar for our ancestors and reflecting on the cycles of life and death. After 17 years living in this mystical village, Daniela weaves ritual, tradition, and wonder into an experience far outside the ordinary travel itinerary.

Just 1.5 hours south of Mexico City, we retreat for six nights in Tepoztlán, Morelos — one of Mexico's few Pueblos Mágicos, known for its pyramid, cobblestone streets, and healing traditions. This is the town where Daniela lived and raised her children for 15 years, and her deep roots here enrich the whole experience.

We arrive during Día de los Muertos, the sacred holiday honoring loved ones who have passed. The village comes alive with pan de muerto, burning copal, and marigold-lined streets leading to decorated cemeteries. We'll build our own altar with candles and traditional offerings — a truly magical time to be here.
