FLOURISH FULLY / May 7th - 13th / 2023

Honoring our divine feminine

This retreat, beginning on Mother's Day, is designed to honor the divine feminine within all of us. It is focused on recognizing and celebrating the essence of who we are as women - as mothers, daughters, and friends. Together, we will explore our relationship with our Earth Mother Gaia, the cycles of the moon, natural rhythms, and our innate power, as we remember the goddesses that we are. FLOURISH FULLY retreats are one-of-a-kind experiences that combine immersing ourselves in the rich culture of Mexico while cultivating mindfulness practices and celebrating ourselves and one another. We weave together sound healing, breathwork, body movement, rituals, and transformative workshops, all focused on raising our vibrations individually and collectively.

Tepoztlan

Just 1.5 hours' drive south of Mexico City, we retreat for 5 days to Tepoztlan, Morelos, which is recognized as one of the few Pueblos Magicos in the country. This village is nestled among breathtaking mountains and is home to a pyramid, renowned for its cobblestone streets, colorful markets, and healing traditions, making it truly a magical village. Tepoztlan is the town where Daniela lived and raised her children for 15 years, and it is the place she calls home in her heart.

Mexico City

The last day and night of the retreat will be spent in Mexico City. On Friday afternoon, we will enjoy the canals of Xochimilco, where we will be transported in gondolas while being serenaded by Mariachis. Traditional simple foods will be prepared for us alongside our boats, creating a wonderful experience as we float through the gardens of what Mexico City was originally built on: water! In the early evening and night, we will be at the historic Hotel de Cuidad de Mexico, located on the historic Zocalo of Mexico City, where we can explore the promenade and the ancient Aztec ruins of Temple Mayor.

On Saturday, arrangements can be made to have private drivers take you to the airport.

Teotihuacan

An optional excursion to the Pyramid of the Sun and Moon at the ancient city of Teotihuacan can be added to the retreat. The Pyramid of the Sun is the third-largest in the world and was a ceremonial center built in 100 A.D. Though much about its history remains a mystery, being in the presence of these structures and sacred place is powerful and unforgettable. This excursion is located 1.5 hours north of Mexico City and will take place on Saturday following the retreat for those interested in extending their stay by one day. Please note that this is an additional expense.

Staying in Tepoztlan at the luxurious spa hotel of Amomoxtli, we will begin each day with gentle yoga/body movement, breathwork, and crystal singing bowl meditations. No prior experience is needed - it's all about having a beginner's mind and a fresh perspective. Our morning ritual of welcoming the day with vibrancy will be followed by a delicious breakfast, as healthy or indulgent as one chooses. Then, in the later morning, Daniela Botur will facilitate the Flourish Fully workshops and afternoon cultural excursions.

The workshops and excursions are designed and aligned each day to correspond with the themes of the retreat and to integrate the elements of earth, water, fire, and air that are vibrant in our setting. The morning sessions will cover content focused on the following topics:

  • Deepening our understanding of our relation to Gaia (our mother earth),the cycles of the moon and natures rhythms and how as women they are innately part of our physiological, emotional and spiritual being.

  • Explore the roles and importance of the Goddess and Priestesses of past and present and how that energy is longing to reemerge in our consciousness.

  • Cultivate a deeper connection to our sovereign divine feminine , what that means , how its relevant and the significance of embodying it to restore balance to our world.

  • Create rituals that feel authentic and address our individual and collective needs so we stay in tune , remembrance and connected to life’s wholeness.

  • Embrace ourselves and each others life journeys as mothers, daughters and friends . Recognize and explore a clearer understanding of how the impact our personal and collective culture and lineage has informed us and how we can reunite with the powerful feminine energy that is emerging for the healing of ourselves and the planet. This workshop is about restoring our connection to the divine feminine essence that we are so that we flourish fully.

Through group and individual exercises, we will expand our capacity to connect, trust, and receive, while the other wonderful women in our group support us in our processes. Ultimately, we will daily be integrating our enhanced mindset into the wonder of new experiences, seeing ourselves, new people, things, and our environment with fresh eyes. The longer journey involves taking the tools and experience of transformation and integrating them into our lives, regardless of where we are and life's circumstances. This retreat serves as a reminder and re-initiation of what we inherently know and are. We are simply exploring the ongoing process of loving, learning, evolving, and remembering our essence and connection to all.

Our afternoon

Our afternoons will have optional excursions, including hiking to a pyramid, floating in the pristine waters of Las Estacas, or shopping and wandering the colorful streets and markets of the village. If relaxing poolside, getting a massage, or trying other healing therapies is more your speed, the hotel offers an amazing array of treatments. Additionally, Daniela knows many amazing energy workers in Tepoztlan. You are free to choose what is perfect for you.

Our Evening

In the evenings, we will gather for a sweat lodge (temazcal), a sacred circle ceremony, fire dancing performance, and overall celebrations of life. Throughout the week, we will explore fine dining of traditional Mexican dishes at the hotel and various restaurants, always on outdoor patios to take advantage of the balmy nights of Tepoztlán. It is warm at this time of the year, with temperatures around 85 degrees during the day, and most of our activities will be outdoors.
